Summer has finally begun, my friends. We have all been waiting for it, and it is time to take a break from drawing and away from work and study, and perhaps animation as well. For me, there is nothing better than to take advantage of the summer to find some time for myself, my family, and my friends, because all year long we draw and work tirelessly and without boredom, and we certainly feel exhausted as anime artists despite our love for drawing.
How to enter the anime world through its widest doors
Sometimes we forget that our bodies need rest. It is true that drawing may not seem to many to be a difficult profession, but nevertheless, we must step away from it, even for a short time, because this will help us to return with renewed energy and unparalleled enthusiasm. So let me, my friends in drawing, share with you some ideas that we can do as artists to step away from drawing anime without feeling bored. Follow along with me.
The first thing that comes to mind to advise you to do is to plan a trip to the sea. Is there anything more beautiful than the sea, the picturesque beach view, and the clear sky? Although the summer heat may dampen our joy at meeting the sea, this is no excuse. You don't know how such a trip can renew your energy, not only for work, but for life in general, and it will stimulate your enthusiasm when you return to manga and anime later.
Even a single day trip will be enough to revitalize you and significantly improve your mental well-being. For example, you could go out with your family at 5:00 AM and return at 12:00 PM, after enjoying the sun, the sea, and the fresh air. It's crucial that when taking a break from drawing, you close all drawing apps on your tablet or phone to avoid distractions during your vacation.
And we don't forget to bring sunscreen, because you don't want to come home during your break from drawing with your face burned like a roasted potato, haha!.
If you want to go on a low-cost trip, it's easy. All you can do is choose cities within the country where you live to explore. This type of trip gives you the opportunity to relax without straining your wallet. Traveling abroad can be expensive for some, and the advantage of this trip is saving money and touring with friends within the same country on exciting trips through one or two cities. In this way, you will contribute to supporting your country's economy.
You might encounter tourists interested in your country, giving you the chance to meet new friends from different countries. I should also mention that you'll visit places you've never been before. You'll enjoy walking, discovering delicious food, and exploring breathtaking scenery. One of my most important tips for taking a break from drawing is to never take your art supplies or sketchbooks, as they will distract you and prevent you from concentrating and enjoying your vacation.
Going out in the evening is a great option, especially during the summer heat when taking a break from painting. Many people—myself included—enjoy going out in the evening to escape the intense heat. You could plan to go to a café after a light home-cooked meal and choose refreshing iced coffee drinks. .
And to make the session more enjoyable, you should bring playing cards, such as Uno or what is known as Shadda or others, to have fun with your friends. But as I told you, and I repeat here, do not bring drawing tools, because I know that many people like to draw in the cafe, but not this time, as we are on a break from drawing.
Simply sitting with friends or family is a golden opportunity to relax, strengthen social bonds, and take a break from the accumulated work pressure.
What if you don't want to leave the house at all? There is a way to pass the time, which is to practice other hobbies that you love. Like cookingPlaying music, taking photos, or even learning a new skill, these things break the routine and give you new habits that you are not used to.
Try to make your vacation a golden opportunity To explore Talents that were buried, or that you didn't have time to practice in the past, and this is the perfect time to practice the hobbies that you have always postponed because of drawing, and perhaps they will help you later when you return to animation. For example, if you return to singing, you can sing to the anime that you are animating, or if you return to playing music.
Perhaps you could compose a piece for the manga you've been working on, or if you're a talented writer, You might be able to write an exciting chapter of your manga. Or you could write a novel that has always been on your mind. As I explained to you during this post, stepping away is in itself an opportunity for renewal and highlighting inner thoughts.
Finally, make sure to use this break as an opportunity to reorganize your workspace, clean your tools, and prepare your area for returning after your rest. You can also follow my channel's videos to learn a lot: https://www.youtube.com/@samarartblog
This will make you eager to return after summer vacation with renewed energy, ready to pursue your favorite art, anime, and manga projects with renewed enthusiasm. Make this summer a fresh start, and enjoy it to the fullest before returning to the world of colors, lines, and ideas. You'll be surprised by the renewed passion that will fill your hearts afterward. I hope to see you in a new post.
