Hello everyone, today I'll be explaining the powerful program I've used for over a decade to animate anime and cartoon characters: Toon Boom Harmony, with pictures. We'll start with the program's interface. As you can see, this is what the program looks like. Don't be intimidated by all the tools; we won't need them all. I've numbered everything we'll be using in red.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upper part of the Toon Boom program:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. New project: Through it, we open a new project to start.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Open: You open any project we have previously worked on<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Saving: Whenever we work on the program, we must click on it in order to save our work so that it is not lost.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Adding an image: We can add any image we want that is on the device, such as animation backgrounds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. The Translate tool: This tool determines the center of the drawing. This means that if we draw the arm, we can place the point at the shoulder, and this point is considered the basic center from which the movement starts. \u201dIt is very important.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. \u201cMuntiain Size\u201d: This is one of my favorite tools, which allows us to place a background and pull it back \u201dbehind the character\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. The hammer: It contains a number of wonderful tools such as hair-moving bones, arm bones, clothing bones, and also fabric.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The left side of the Toon Boom program:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    1. The black arrow: The arrow moves each part we draw and changes its shape and size. If we draw the eye, we can drag it to any place on the page. .<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. The white arrow: This helps us change the lines of the drawing and correct the drawing we have made. For example, if we drew a line for the chin and it was slightly slanted, we would use the white arrow to move the line to the correct position, because these are vector lines. Vector<\/strong> .<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Brush: It is one of the drawing tools and I only use it to draw eyelashes and eyebrows, because moving its lines is confusing and distorts the drawing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. The pen: I use it all the time to draw characters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. The eraser: erases any mistake in the drawing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Shapes: We find drawing shapes such as circles, squares, and others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Filling: You fill in and color the drawing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    8. Color copyer: Through it we can take any sample of colors we want.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    9. The palm: helps us move the screen up and down, or press the button on the keyboard. space<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    10. Animation: If it is in yellow, it means that we are moving, but if it is in red, then no matter what we do, it will not be considered animation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    11. The Transform Transform tool<\/strong> It is the tool responsible for movement, and through it we can move anything, such as hands and legs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. Tool properties: These are responsible for displaying the properties of each tool we use and the options that each one has.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. The library: where we find all the designs we have saved from previous projects or ready-to-use templates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Top: Thanks to it we can see the camera angle from above for scenes where the camera is moving.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Colors: The \u201cpalette\u201d for the project we are working on and all the colors of the characters, including eyes, skin, and hair.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. \u201cNodeView\u201d: This is what I personally call \u201ccells\u201d! It is everything related to the project, from layers and images to effects, and how we can connect layers to each other and do many things thanks to it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        The lower and middle sections of the Toon Boom program:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        1. Midway : <\/strong>It is the main place for drawing, that is, it is the drawing board; anything we draw outside the frame will not appear in the final scene.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Left side: There you will find the layers and you can add a new layer or camera to the project.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. \u201cThe \u201dtimeline\u201c is a fundamental element in animation programs, as it represents our animation drawings or sketches, and we can control how much we add or delete the drawings or \u201dframes\u201d we draw.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Effects Library: This is where you will find a variety of visual effects that you can add to your anime, such as rain, sunshine, fire, and more.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
