As we mentioned before, the face is one of the most important elements of a person's character and the first thing that catches our attention, so it deserves some attention. Therefore, I've prepared a tutorial on how to draw a face from several angles. This is very important when you want to draw your character looking in different directions, and it's especially challenging because most of us (myself included) find drawing those angles more difficult than drawing a face looking straight ahead. Without further ado, let's begin.

My online store has everything you need as artists

First step

We draw a circle, and we will consider it the brain here. It is not important that it be a perfect circle, try as much as you can to make it good.

Then determine the direction of the character’s gaze. If it is looking upwards, draw a straight, slanted line, but not from the center of the circle itself, rather from the direction the eyes are looking. The farther away the direction, the closer the lines should be. For example, the face in the middle of the painting is looking upwards, right?.

So, the side of the face facing us has slightly wider lines, while the side or the eye that is far away has narrower lines. If it is looking straight ahead naturally, the lines are evenly spaced. This applies to any angle you want the face to be facing.

Step two

We draw two parallel lines inside the circle, i.e., at the midline separating the face, and there will be the place to draw the eyes.

Then, on the outer side of the circle, “the head”, we complete the two lines, so that they help us to draw and accurately determine the location of the ear.

We continue and draw a line at the bottom, which is the chin position, and continue with it to the right or left depending on the direction of the face, in order to determine the final shape.

Step three

This is a very important and precise step, as it determines the angle of vision.
